| 17.10.2020 | The worldwide COVID-19 crisis is revealing a lot about governments wordwide. European countries boasting with human rights tend to handle them inconsistently. One of the most important human rights is the right of life. But many European countries have history of absolutism and dictatorship and this history is projected even now in their consitution. For example, home education is illegal in Germany or Spain by their constitution. The rulers wanted to have total control of what people learn and control their life path. This goes even today against the basic human right for life, because such countries have reopened their compulsory attendance school system starting from September 2020, which caused huge rise of COVID-19 cases. Most hardly hit is the Czech Republic. Although it allows some form of home education, the current government is led by former communist secret agent Babiš and he is heading the country towards authoritarianism and oligarchy also for his personal business profit. So he and his minister of education Plaga reopened the schools without any limitations as if there was no pandemic. Minister Plaga claimed end of August 2020 that he is a strong supporter of compulsory school attendance and that everything is under control. In the second week of October 2020 the schools had to be closed because of horrible infection numbers which are out of any control and the country is heading towards a lockdown. And the result is a serious violation of the human right of life by minister Plaga enforcing compulsory school attendance in September 2020. The prime minister Babiš however still says that he does not feel any personal nor governmental responsibility for the result, although there are tens of people dead now every day for the COVID-19 disease. | |
| 03.10.2020 | Are COVID-19 restrictions really for medical reasons or are misused by politicians to grab more power over people? Things like face masks, disinfections and close contact avoidance are here for medical reason, no doubt. But is the current limitation of international travel, that ruins most airlines and other travel businesses, really necessary? It seems to be more political conspiracy to keep people within some territory based on their "paper" nationality rather than a medical necessity. Especially in the European Schengen area a lot of people live in other country and are discriminated by travel restrictions based on their "paper" nationality. And such discriminatory limitations based on nationality are even illegal yet not many people seem to realize it and stand against them. Everyone living in a certain state should be treated equally regardles of his "paper" nationality. But even globally international travellers are not the main cause of most infections if they behave properly. Much more infections are caused by local people not respecting basic hygienic precautions. | |

And this tax is ruthlessly enforced for example in Germany even in the Covid times, when people are struggling to pay just for their basic needs. Freedom of press should not only be the freedom of speech, but also the freedom of choice, which media people want to support. Europe has long history of authoritarianism and critics say that the current EU is more like a coverup for it than real freedom. For example, the EU laws can only be proposed by the EU Comission and its "army" of clerks and officers who are often influenced and driven by many political and business interest groups. The elected EU parliament representatives can only vote on those laws, but this voting process is also controlled by so called parliament fractions. | |
